This is a learning module on raw materials policy and global sustainable development.
Green technology is considered a key strategy for addressing the climate crisis: Can the energy transition succeed through these innovations? – And if so, at what price? What are the global effects of mining the raw materials required for this? And can we simply make our way of life green through technological advances without changing our behaviour? In the learning module, we deal with these questions using the example of e-mobility and the necessary raw material lithium. We talk to expert Karin Küblböck, travel to resource-rich countries in the Global South and get to know the alternative concept of the circular economy.
