Why is the global information society so challenging? What kind of inequalities and power structures come to play? How can we address them? In this video, we explore the role and importance of information and media literacy in the digital age of information and Artificial Intelligence (AI). We come back to the “danger of a single story” and we assess why critical thinking and challenging biases is crucial in the global knowledge production structured by (historic) power relations, Colonialism and Eurocentrism.
